We are in a constant state of screaming winds here. I will not be too surprised to wake up one night and find that the loud crash I heard was our swamp cooler coming thru the roof. We already had the awning on the west end of the house get blown down. Almost went thru our new windows. Some of the nails that were holding it to the house scratched glass on one of the windows.

This awning was here when we bought the house. It's gone now - firewood for our campsite.

When the wind gets going, the dust and dirt it kicks up is blinding. I'm lucky I still have some paint left on my car.
